I have two books to discuss today.
Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes
Written in the 1950s, this science fiction novel is about a mentally disabled person. He undergoes an experimental procedure to improve his intellectual capabilities. It was later adapted into a movie called Charly, starring Cliff Robertson. It was good.
The Museum of Extraordinary Things by Alice Hoffman
Set on Coney Island in the early 1900s, the book is about a boy and a girl who find each other despite being worlds apart. It was good.
Books I’ve put on hold at the library are becoming available; so, I’m not sure when I’ll get back to Queen Elin.
MK out.
