People, the dash has been filled with Christmas chores lately. I haven’t watched many movies, but I will tell you about a few.
But first things first:
Thanksgiving went well and was delicious! I made reservations for lunch. I also made some family favorite sides to go with a smoked ham for dinner.
It felt like a good time to make sugared pecans, too.
On to movies - Unspeakable Things is LeeAnn Morgan’s latest comedy special on Netflix. It’s funny. Watch it.
In Lost and Found in Cleveland, June Squibb leads the cast. Five people bring items to the filming of a traveling appraisal show to see if their (non-monetary) perception of the objects’ values will be validated. It was cute.
The documentary, The Quilting Women of Gee‘s Bend, takes a look at a community of quilters and how they became famous. Their utilitarian quilts have become much sought after works of art. It was interesting.
A salesman stops at a remote diner/gas station in The Last Stop at Yuma County, to get fuel. The pumps are empty, but the fuel truck is due any second; so, he waits. He hears about a bank robbery that had happened earlier that day. When the two perpetrators come to the diner, the story starts moving along. It was tense, but entertaining.
I hope that was worth the wait.
In other news, the Christmas tree was assembled on Thanksgiving day. The final ornament was placed last Wednesday.
MK out.
