So, about a week ago, I went to the library and checked out Twilight. I read it in two days, only because I had to go to work.
Tuesday, I went back to the library and checked out New Moon. I read it in two days because we had company over, and it's rude to ignore company by reading a book while they are over.
All the copies of the third book, Eclipse, are checked out; so, I put in a hold request. I hope I don't have to wait too long.
Who knew that a series of books about adolescent vampires and werewolves would catch my fancy?
I guess while I wait for the third book, I can watch the movies of the first two. Have any of you read the books and seen the movies? Are the movies as good as the books? (Movies usually never are, but I thought I'd ask.)
MK out.

I loved the Twilight series of books. The movies, not so much -- but that said, I will surely see every last one of them. I just can't stand Robert Pattinson, and Kristen (what...Stewart?...Bella) cannot act her way out of a speeding ticket. Way worse than Keanu Reeves ever was.
ReplyDeleteI was late catching on to the books, so I bought 1-3 in paperback ...then could NOT wait for the paperback version of 4 to come out, cheap as I am.
Now that I have a kindle, I can sort of have my cake and eat it too...getting new releases for 9.99. Pretty good compromise,eh?
I know what you mean, Pearl...While we were on our trip, I caught the last 15 minutes of Twilight on Showtime, and the first thing I thought was - can that girl even act? There are no expressions...it's a really flat delivery.
ReplyDeleteHope to watch the whole movie tongiht.

ReplyDeleteI've only read the first book, but I have seen both movies. They are very good! Very entertaining! I am 57, so there is no age limit for enjoying these stories. They appeal to all ages.
