The last few days have been signaling the coming of summer!
A lonely writer trying to write about his dead parents visits their ghosts. (I see dead people.) All of Us Strangers stars Andrew Scott, Paul Mescal, Claire Foy and Jamie Bell. Belief must be suspended in order to sit through this film. Oh, and surprise ending!!! I liked it.
Monica is about a woman who returns home after many estranged years to help care for her ailing mother. Patricia Clarkson is in it; so, I had to watch. There are parts of this film that are slow, but it was poignant and beautiful.
The secrets and multigenerational abuse in an Italian- American family are examined in Relative. It was sobering.
MK out.
