Lordy, Lordy! When was the last time I told y’all about the books I’ve read? It was the beginning of May.
May, People!!!
And I’ve read many books since then. I’ll tell you about a few of them now.
Mayluna by Kelley McNeil
A young writer gets the chance of a lifetime to interview the lead singer of Mayluna. They begin a torrid relationship. Years later, her grown children come across a picture of the rock band with her and there are questions to be answered. It was good.
The Paris Apartment by Lucy Foley
You might remember me discussing another book with the same name, but by a different author. The two stories are very dissimilar. In this one, a girl heads to Paris to crash with her half-brother. When she gets there, he’s gone. The longer he stays gone, the more his living arrangements seem strange. Read it to find out what happened. I liked it.
The McAvoy Sisters Book of Secrets by Molly Fader
Two estranged sisters have to work together to take care of their ailing mother. An incident finally forces them to address the reason they became estranged. It was good.
When We Were Enemies by Emily Bleeker
Her mother is an award-winning actress and her grandmother went from being a USO singer to a celebrated icon. Elise, however, who prefers to stay away from the spotlight, is convinced to document her upcoming wedding in conjunction with a documentary being made of her grandmother’s life. It was pretty good.
Stay tuned for more.
