I am still alive, I just have limited communication and publishing methods available at the moment. I will have to edit this post back to my usual style once I can get my hands on more civilized methods...and there are no spell check capabilities; so, beware!
I am all o.v.e.r this week's topic for Ten on Tuesday. Carole asks us to list Ten Movies You Want to See Right Now.. The Oscar nominations have just been announced, and there are seven movies nominated for the "big five" that I haven't seen yet:
1. War Horse
2. Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy
3. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close
4. Hugo
5. Albert Nobbs
6. Warrior (because Nick Nolte got nominated for Best Supporting Actor)
7. A Better Life
To round out my list:
8. The latest Sherlock Holmes because I loved the chemistry between Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr. in the first one.
9. The new Mission Impossible because I heard it was really good.
10. A Separation because it looks good - and, bonus: it was nominated for an Oscar for Best Foreign Language.
MK out.
Haven't seen anything! Great list though and thinking this is how to make our way toward spring? ;-)
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that I'm curious to see how Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close translates to the big screen. I hated the book and couldn't finish it for book club, but I'm usually more forgiving with movies. For example I hated Wicked the book, but loved the Broadway show :-)
ReplyDeleteSherlock and MI were both good "popcorn" movies - go for it! (Thank you for the rec for My Week with Marilyn... I can't figure out how to email you back through Blogger.)
ReplyDeleteWhen we lived in San Antonio we made it a point to see every movie on the Oscars list. Now, that we live in the sticks it's really hard to do that. But I want to see several of them. Thanks for the list!!
ReplyDeleteSorry I stole your WIP Wednesday title. I knew I'd seen it somewhere! LOL.
