It's about time I got around to showing the finished objects around here...
The oldest project is a lacy scarf:
I used one skein of Bollicine Sissi in this fun multi colorway. The pattern is Party Lace Scarf by Lisa Sisk. I had some different colored and shaped beads for the ends:
Next up is a Casu Cowl:
I had one skein of Madelinetosh's previous base for Merino Sport in Jade.
The pattern calls for worsted, but it is easily adaptable to different yarn weights.
I had some leftovers from my Tea Leaves Cardigan; so, I decided to make a Honey Cowl:
I can see why Kay Gardiner of Mason-Dixon Knitting cannot get enough of them!
The pattern is very rhythmic and soothing. I see more in my future. BTW- the yarn is Madelinetosh DK in Fragrant.
Finally, I present the Wingspan:
I used Poems Sock Yarn by Wisdom in a navy to gray and more-blues-in-between colorway.
I bought this colorway with the Dallas Mavericks in mind. I even got to wear it to the last game of the season. I like the pattern and I wouldn't mind making another one.
I am still working on my spring cardi...but I did start a little cardi Wednesday at Knit Night. I couldn't resist...

WIP Wednesday - 4/24/2013
Don't faint! There's a WIP Wednesday post!!! I know!!!
But wait...there's more!!!
I only have one thing OTN right this minute.
You read that right.
I frogged the March 2013 socks (and I have finished everything else):
I love the pattern, I loooooovvvvveeeee the yarn (It's Timebomb by Gritty Knits)....but I just wasn't feeling it. I kept looking at the yarn and thinking it wanted to be a different pair of socks; so, back to the drawing board...
I haven't even decided what I want to make for the April 2013 socks, and the Sock Knitters Anonymous group is already talking about May. Oy!
So, here is what is currently OTN:
It's my spring cardi. This week, it would have come in handy...
I'd better get knitting.

Movie Monday - 4/22/2013
Looper is set in the not so distant future. Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays Joe, an assassin for a mob-type organization. People from the future are sent to him to kill. Many loops are being closed - whereby the assassin's future self is sent to him to kill, leaving him a bonus and 30 years to enjoy it. Will Joe be next? Bruce Willis, Emily Blunt, Paul Dano and Jeff Daniels also star. It was good.
Anna Paquin stars in Margaret, a film about a girl who feels that she is responsible for a fatal bus crash. In her efforts to make some sort of amends, she does more harm than good. Mark Ruffalo, Allison Janney, Matthew Broderick and Matt Damon also star. It was alright...Oh, and by the way - none of the characters in the movie are named Margaret. It's supposed to be the name of the poem that is read or is being discussed by the teacher at the beginning of the film.
In Ruby Sparks, Paul Dano plays a writer who had previous success and is going through a dry spell. He starts to write about a girl in his dreams. Soon, she materializes in his life, and he learns that he can control her through s writing. Zoe Kazan wrote the script and plays the girl. Also starring in this film - Annette Bening, Antonio Banderas, Steve Coogan and Elliott Gould. It was cute, but it's definitely a renter.
Robot & Frank is a cute movie about a retired burglar (Frank Langella) with memory issues. His son (Peter Sarsgaard) gets Frank a robot to help him around the house and to watch over him. Frank decides the robot would be a good accomplice for his next heist. Susan Sarandon and Liv Tyler also star in this cute film set in the near future. I liked it.

WIP Wednesday 4/17/2013
Helllllloooooooooo Chickadees! Sorry for the bloggy silence. It's been real around here. The issues continue; so, expect delays...
I've been knitting through the fun though...and finishing stuff...
Right now, I only have three projects on the needles. Those March socks are on the back burner. I am a little perplexed with gauge issues; so, I've put them in time out. I haven't worked much on the spring cardi and that can be a problem. I mean, hey, just yesterday it was in the high 80s around here. The cardi was not needed. Much cooler temperatures are predicted for later this week and it may come in handy. Oy!
I can show you the Casu Cowl progress:
See that little white thing that is on the left side of the cowl? That's where I was until last week when I picked it up again. I think I am doing pretty good...
I really love the color, but it is not a color that looks good on me. Sadly, I may have to add this cowl to the gift box...

WIP Wednesday - 4/3/2013
Y'all saw the seven projects I had on the needles last week. I'm not going to show them all again. Two were finished and y'all saw them on Friday.
Only two of the remaining five have progressed, but one doesn't look all that different. It's the Honey Cowl; so, I'm not going to show it again. It's the same pattern, only a little wider.
The March Socks progressed a little:
I really like it so far. Once I get the other panel like this one done for the other sock, I think it will move along faster. It didn't take me a whole week to get to here. I did that yesterday. The reason I haven't done more is because I got sidetracked...
I started a Wingspan shawl in honor of Start Something Sunday:
...because I don't have enough projects already going.

Movie Monday - 4/1/2013
In Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, a sheik who likes to fish wants to stock the river with salmon. In a turn of events, the fisheries expert in Britain is consulted to make it happen. It turns into an international incident, as the British Prime Minister's press secretary, played by Kristen Scott Thomas, is desperate for a good story to take the focus away from recent embarrassing news events. Ewan McGregor and Emily Blunt also star in this quite entertaining rom-com. I really liked it.
Michelle Williams plays the wife of a bomb squad officer in Incendiary, set modern day London. She is very unhappy about his job situation, as he seems to be working all the time and they have a young son. Ironically, he and the boy are killed in a terrorist attack involving suicide bombers, while she is in bed with a journalist (Ewan McGregor) that she had recently met. Talk about guilt issues...I can't really write too much more or it would spoil the movie, but I really liked it.
